How to route cables through a desk grommet

A grommet is the neatest way to get cables from the desktop to the floor, if you feed them through in the right order and the hole is big enough for your plugs. Here is how.

Instead of every lead crawling around the back edge of the desk and down the wall, a grommet gives them a single, purpose-cut hole to drop straight through the desktop to the floor or, better, into a tray waiting beneath.
