Are monitor arms with USB ports worth it?

Before you pay the premium, it’s worth pulling the two features apart, because they get bundled and priced together but they are not equally worth it. One is a genuinely useful fixture that never goes out of date; the other is a small convenience that a cheap, swappable part often does better.
