1. Who we are

Desk & Daylight(“we”, “us”) is a website operated by Type 5 Marketing LLC. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don’t, please don’t use it.

2. What this site is

It is editorial content about home-office equipment, funded by affiliate commission. We do not sell anything.We don’t take orders, hold stock, ship products, process payments, or handle returns. When you buy something, your contract is with the retailer — Amazon — and their terms govern that sale, entirely.

If your order is late, wrong, damaged or missing, we genuinely cannot help. Amazon can.

3. Our information, and its limits

We publish manufacturers’ specifications and figures from public standards. We source and cite everything and we correct errors when we find them. But:

• We have not tested these products. Every ranking is based on published specifications, not on hands-on experience. This is stated at length on our methodology pageand it is not a formality — it is the most important thing to understand about this site.
• Manufacturers change things.Specs get revised, models get superseded, warranties change. A figure that was right the day we read it may not be right the day you read it. The “last reviewed” date on each page tells you when a human last checked.
• Prices are indicative and expire.They come from Amazon’s API, are stamped with a date, and vanish from the page once our data is over 48 hours old. The price you pay is whatever Amazon shows at checkout. Always confirm there.
• Verify anything that matters.If a dimension or a warranty term is load-bearing for your purchase, check it against the manufacturer’s own page before you buy. We link to those pages precisely so you can.

The site is provided “as is”. We don’t warrant that it is error-free or continuously available, and to the fullest extent the law allows we aren’t liable for loss arising from your use of it or from a purchasing decision you make based on it. Nothing here limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.

4. Not medical advice

This matters more than the rest of this page, so it is not buried in clause 11.

Nothing on this site is medical advice, and none of it should be treated as such. Stephen V. is a home-office enthusiast. He is not an ergonomist, physiotherapist, occupational-health professional or clinician, and we claim no such expertise anywhere.

We describe geometry and mechanism — what a chair adjusts through, what a standard specifies, what a study measured. We do not claim that any product prevents, treats, cures or relieves any condition. If you are in pain or have a health concern, see a qualified clinician.

5. Affiliate links

We earn commission on qualifying purchases through our links, at no extra cost to you. It does not affect our rankings. Full detail on the disclosure page, which forms part of these terms.

6. Third-party links

We link to manufacturers, retailers, standards bodies and government sources. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content, their accuracy, or their privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement of everything at the other end of it.

7. Our content

The writing, structure and original analysis on this site belong to Type 5 Marketing LLC. Product names, trade marks and product images belong to their respective owners; product images are served from Amazon under the Associates programme.

You may quote us with attribution and a link — genuinely, please do, especially the sourced arithmetic. You may not republish pages wholesale or pass our work off as your own.

8. Acceptable use

Don’t attack the site, don’t scrape it at a volume that degrades it for other people, and don’t abuse the contact form. The form is rate-limited; that is why.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top moves when we do, and continued use of the site means you accept the current version.
